This patient had eaten a nice breakfast of the crunchiest toast and bacon ever! \u00a0To his surprise, he had broken one of his front teeth in three pieces.<\/p>\n

Conventional wisdom is to bring whatever broken tooth parts to your dentist for her to see if she can use any part of it to repair the broken tooth. \u00a0In this case, we treated the two tooth fragments as though they were chips from a broken porcelain veneer – cleaned and etched them under a microscope, and bonded them back to the tooth using resin-bonding chemistry.<\/p>\n

In a matter of 30 minutes without any anesthetics, we were able to rather simply fit the puzzle pieces back together and restore the tooth – we did, however, advise he eat his bacon on the other side!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
