Women serving Women

My dental assistant and I just spent the day in the office serving women from the Atlanta Mission.  Their mission is quite simple: Ending Homelessness.  As such, their clients are in great need of help from any professionals willing to give it. Some of the women had needs beyond my capability, and it was heart wrenching to tell some of these grateful women “no.”  However, all expressed gratitude for what we were able to accomplish, and everyone had a treatment accomplished that was significant to them. My gratitude has also grown.  I am grateful for the opportunity to choose the type of work I do.  I am grateful for the on-going relationships I share with my patient base.  I am grateful for my health and emotional well-being, for my parents, community, and friends.  I am grateful for life itself. – Elizabeth Caughey, DDS
