We enjoy each other’s company both inside out out of the office. Scroll down to see some of our adventures and hijinks!

Down in the Trenches, literally!

Dentistry is all about keeping things clean and orderly. But we are not afraid to get dirty! Spelunking our way through the caves of the north Georgia mountains taught us to manage ourselves in a tight spot.

Team bicycle tour in Historic Downtown Atlanta

Atlanta is a great city, and we at Caughey DDS are proud to be a part of its history.

In summer 2014, we toured through Oakland Cemetery, Sweet Auburn Curb Market, and the Martin Luther King Center for non-violent social change.

If you didn’t think Atlanta was bicycle-friendly, you haven’t toured with these guys!

Atlanta TMD Team takes Seattle

Atlanta may be home, but Seattle is my other favorite city – and I was thrilled to share it with my TMD Dental Team.

We ventured west for a rare learning opportunity, to have the TMD masters Herb Blumenthal, dentist, and Kathy Johnson, physical therapist, share the connections between the bite, the jaw, and the positioning of the head and neck on the body.

This was organized and facilitated by one of dentistry’s finest communications coaches, Mary Osborne.

Learning should be fun – we proved it!

Happy Holidays from Caughey DDS!

To celebrate the end of the year, we enjoyed lunch and ice skating at the St. Regis Hotel in Buckhead. After we got the ice skates laced, we immediately practiced our balance and tricks for the next an hour of fun! Enjoy the photos, and Happy Holidays!

US Champion Kayaker teaches dental team

Team building at its finest! David Jones is a world class kayaker, and the rest of us at TMJ Treatment Atlanta are a bunch of newbies!

Our morning was cool for mid-July, and a little bit overcast. Sunscreen already applied, we set out for the NOC station at Sope Creek in Marietta. Our first lesson was how heavy kayaks are! We carried our own kayaks down to the water, put on our life jackets, and started our cruise down river.

There was one class 1 rapid – and some of us got stuck on the rocks!  After the geese got done laughing at us, we paddled the rest of the way to Powers Ferry Island and hauled the boats out.

All, that is, except Dr. Jones – he paddled the entire distance back upstream as if that’s “nothing” to do! Thanks for showing us how, Dr. J!

Team Dentist supports Hawks!

The Atlanta Hawks gave an exhilarating performance last night at Game 5 of the Playoffs, defeating the Boston Celtics 110-83.  WOW!

Drs. Jones and Caughey were in attendance to support our team, cheering mightily as the Hawks became absolutely unstoppable in the third quarter: it seemed like every 3-pointer went swish!

Congratulations Hawks! You’ve got one more W to put on the board until Semi-final championships!
