Spotlight on Errol Holmes, CNMT

I can still remember the day I met Errol Holmes.  It was a hot September day in the Georgia countryside, and I had dragged out 100 miles on a bicycle ride raising money for Multiple Sclerosis research.

The finish line tent was full of people like me: physically exhausted, emotionally spent, and grateful to have bodies that allow us to serve our fellow humans in this manner.

A delightful treat was in store for the weekend warriors!  Errol Homes and three of his colleagues had set up massage tables, contributing their services in honor of this athletic endeavor.

After 20 minutes of skillful stretching, kneading, and deep breathing, I felt like I could get back on the saddle and ride 30 more!

In the 7 years since then, I continue to enjoy my personal relationship with Errol, but more enriching to me as a medical professional are our conversations about the body.

Errol has taught me about the musculature of the head and neck, and helped me to understand better how “my part of the body” affects and is affected by the rest of it.  I have and continue to refer patients to him for neuromuscular, Swedish, and myokinesthetic massage.
