Elizabeth Caughey DDS, Dentist

Dr. Caughey graduated from dental school in 2000, receiving her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina, one of the top-ranked dental schools in the country. She has complemented her dental school learning at The Pankey Institute for advanced dental studies. The Pankey Institute has trained dentists for decades to understand and treat the complex nature of dental occlusion. Dr. Caughey is honored to have joined the institute as a member of the visiting faculty, teaching Bite Splint Therapy for 10 years. She has also received advanced training in TMJ diagnosis and management from the Piper Institute, and stays involved in their study club.  Dr. Caughey is also certified in placement of Botox for both TMJ management and for esthetics from the American Academy of Facial Esthetics.  Dr. Caughey’s practice is committed to providing the highest standard of clinical excellence in a calm, caring environment.

Missy, Office Manager

Missy was born and raised in Atlanta. After 20 years in Charleston, Sc she returned to the Atlanta area. She received her Bachelor’s of Arts from the College of Charleston.  Missy started her career in dentistry in 1998 as a clinical assistant. 8 years ago she expanded her experience and transitioned into office management. She has been with Dr. Caughey for nearly 6 years and is thrilled to be able to continue to grow with the practice. 

In her spare time she enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping, and playing outdoors with her niece. She resides in Roswell on the Chattahoochee with her dog Crawford.

Mike Cantrell MPT PRC, Physical Therapist

Mike is a professional movement and performance consultant with over 20 years experience working with a variety of patients and athletes in all manner of settings across the country and around the globe. Mike is a partner and lead performance consultant with Applied Integration Consulting, which has impacted patients and athletes across the US and throughout Europe, Australia and Asia. 

Mike’s area of expertise centers on helping individuals with chronic pain and enhancing sport performance through integration of neuro-respiratory dynamics. Of particular interest is the emergence of his skill with orofacial management of PRI-based principles.  This has led to specific programs coupling respiratory function with dental management of the C-spine and ribcage.

Heidi Wise OD  FCOVD, Neuro-Optometrist

Dr. Wise graduated Summa Cum Laude from Troy State University in 1994 with Bachelor’s degrees in both Math & Chemistry. She continued her education at Southern College of Optometry where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctor of Optometry degree in 1998.

Dr. Wise worked in primary care optometry before opening a private practice in Lincoln, NE that focused on expanded services which included vision training, behavioral optometry and neuro-optometry. These areas focus on helping children and adults gain better vision skills to maximize performance in school, work and while playing sports. In addition, Dr. Wise helped coordinate the first onsite vision services program at the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Wise directed vision rehabilitation programs for patients suffering from strokes and traumatic brain injuries.

Her post graduate training includes 200+ hours in the areas of vision development, vision and learning, and vision rehabilitation. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Nebraska Optometric Association, College of Optometrists in Vision Development, and Heart of America Contact Lens Society. In 2011, Dr. Wise completed her fellowship in the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (FCOVD). She is one of only a few optometrists in Nebraska who has achieved this status. Dr. Wise is a co-founder of PRI Vision and currently practices in Savannah, GA using her behavioral and neuro-optometry skills integrated with PRI Vision science to change visually driven muscular, skeletal and neurological causes of pain, dizziness, fatigue and headaches as well as many other common chronic conditions. We are lucky to have her on board helping us manage the powerful input the visual system plays on the asymmetric growth of children and the dysfunctional movement patterns of kids and adults alike.

 

Liv, Dental Assistant

Olivia, or Liv as she likes to be called, is an Atlanta native who lived for a time in Ghana, west Africa.  Liv joins our dental team after receiving her training as a dental assistant – she is very conscientious and dedicated to making patients feel as comfortable as possible.SandySpringsDentalAssistant
